About Le Petit Hoot

Le Petit Hoot is a one-woman operation. I’m that one woman—Jill. I find most of my inspiration in moods and experiences. I love strolling about town, window shopping, stopping off at a local café and indulging in one of my favorite things: coffee! As silly as it may sound, when I do these things, I often wonder what kind of purse women would enjoy using when they’re going about their own day. What would make them feel pretty but keep them comfortable and their accessories practical at the same time?

As you might guess, I have quite a passion for bags and that’s what you’ll find here on Le Petit Hoot. What exactly will you find here? Hobo bags, Bow totes, Pintucked pouches, and Bow clutches all designed, cut, and sewn by me. I make my handmade bags with high quality materials—bags, totes, and clutches from soft yet sturdy cotton canvas and pouches from the most beautiful printed cotton. All of my bags are reinforced with layers of fleece and interfacing and each item is lined inside. Because a bag shouldn’t just be pretty; it should be functional, too. Can you tell I love what I do?
